Scott was surprised by a visit from Jim Tozzi (aka the very first guest on the very first show!) at last night’s anniversary show, and he came bearing gifts! Well, er, a card! But that’s more than anyone else thought to do. Thanks for the kind sentiment, Jimmy Jazz!

An anonymous Running Late fan has managed to get her (or his!) hands on one of Scott’s rejected New Yorker cartoons and posted it to imgur. It quickly racked up over 600,000 hits, and Reddit commenters went crazy trying to decipher its anatomical accuracy. Props to Brian Reddy on the co-writing, drawing, and anonymous posting.

Johnalynn Holland is a rising star in the NYC comedy photography scene. Yes! There’s a NYC comedy photography scene! And Johnalynn has been hot on the beat, documenting some of the top shows in the city including Tell Your Friends!, Comedy at the Knitting Factory, and of course, Running Late. She was on hand at the PIT for our October 4th show, armed with her Canon 5D, and took these gorgeous candids. Now if there were only a filter that could fix Scott’s crooked tie…

Holy smokes! God himself, appearing in the form of David Javerbaum, sanctified the Running Late set last night, while Jenn Harris added her own decorative flourish to Scott’s desk with the help of some creepy fake cobwebs. Jenn Sterger made her first public appearance since the Brett Favre scandal turned her world upside down, and Myq Kaplan and Micah Sherman turned some Alanis Morissette lyrics downside up for the big finale. All in all, the most fun show yet!
